John has been playing electric and acoustic guitar for over 40 years. Influenced by George Harrison, he began taking guitar lessons from jazz guitarist Jack Townill beginning at the age of 10. His first guitar performance occurred when he joined a neighborhood band in junior high. John graduated into many bands during his high school and early college years. His professional career began when he joined the Illinois based band; Probe. Playing throughout the Midwest for three years, the band built a strong following, and was an opening act for Styx, Jim Peterik, Cryan Shames, Heartsfield, Cheech & Chong, and several other national acts. After leaving Probe, John completed his college education. Post college, he joined an original band; Intruder, and was also a member of the Paul Bogush Band. Following this work, John formed a company, Premier Audio; where he composed and recorded radio ad jingles and corporate sound tracks for many Will County organizations. He has also managed sales teams dealing in pro audio/video systems for Satellite Music Network, Bonneville Broadcasting, and Mood Media. John is currently employed as a National Sales Manager for a loudspeaker manufacturer. Diversifying his musical skills, he has recently been expanding his music guitar styles from Rock to Jazz fusion and Country. After several guest appearances with Harvest Moon and Shadows of Knight with Jimy Sohns, John joined GRUBAND and has been performing with them for the past two years.

Steve's vocal career began around the age of 16. With fellow classmates, he performed in his first rock band while attending Plainfield High School. After graduation, Steve eventually bought his own business. Currently the owner/operator of the Uptown Eatery and Tap (Plainfield, Illinois), Steve has spent many years hiring local bands and musicians for his club. Finally in 2012, Steve came to the realization that it was time for him to return to the music scene. As the vocalist for the band Gruband (named after Steve), he can now be seen performing at Illinois casinos, private clubs and local restaurants/nightclubs.
Like many drummers who were watching the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, Eric too, became fascinated with Ringo Starr's rhythmic ability to drive the new music of The Beatles. After receiving bongo drums for Christmas that year, Eric began to teach himself percussion basics. Once in grade school, Eric joined the marching and jazz bands. He attended summer band camp to keep playing and learning. Eric acquired his first set of Ludwig drums in 1973, and formed his first rock band in 1974. Some of Eric's local bands included: Exodus, Saint, The Steiger Brothers, Wigglestick, Kashmir, and PreZence. When asked who were some of his drumming influences, Eric answered: John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Ron Howden of Nektar, and Curt Cress of Passport. Although an accomplished drummer, Eric also has a passion for collecting guitars!
Greg Votta first began playing drums at the age of 14. Within a year, Greg was the drummer for the band New Breed. After high school, Greg was a member in Will County bands: Lord Ashley, Odyssey, Witness and Crystal. Turning to a country genre, Greg performed with the Charley Stuart Band, and recorded two successful CD's. His most recent ventures were with the bands Niteschool and Plastic Santa. As a local Will County performer, Greg has played such venues as the Rialto Theatre, Edifice, The Wild Goose, RBK's, The Channahon Three Rivers Festival, and the Wilmington Catfish Days. Greg is the owner of the Wilmington-based Shear Design hair salon.
